HELLO IS ANYBODY THERE! My name is Allan Gordon. I am 23 years old and grew up in the streets of Westfield (Mossywood) My parents moved to Westfield in 1988 when i was 3 years old. As i am typing this i can't help but think that i maybe wasting my time, however, in the situation i am in now having bought and sold a 2 bedroom house in Westfield 2 years ago to move to Stirling and as i am expecting my first child we feel we would like to be back close to his/hers grandparents who are both from Westfield (Mossywood & Netherwood - as my partner is also from Westfield) In the process of selling our property in Stirling we are considering buying a 5 bedroom house in Westfield and as i visit my parents on a regular basis i cant help but feel Westfield is going down hill. For example, when i walk the dog i could never remember there being so much litter i.e. Buckfast bottles, the ongoing problems with the bus shelters, and the sad prospects of an outdoor cash machine and telephone box. I feel Westfield needs to change drastically and something has to be done. If there is anybody going to read this blog i would kindly ask if you could reply with your thoughts on the community of Westfield, its problems and where the problems are coming from, what action is being done or what action could be done. Thank you for your time, Allan Gordon.

Hi Wilf,
further to our conversation earlier it would be great if you could link to us or even do a small article on us?

I qualified as a WSCDTA instructor last year and am on the Scottish Canine Consultative Council who advise on laws and policy that relate to dogs at all levels of government from local community councils right up to the Scotish Parliment and are curently involved with the proposed ammendments to the Dangerous Dogs Act 1997. We were also instumental in setting up The Scottish Outdoor Access Code.

We go way beyond being a simple dog training class and are a Community Dog Manegment Service which is an idea pioneered in Alexandria by police dog handler George Cochrane.

I believe we have a mutual friend in Cathie Cragie who has visited us and pledged to help further our cause in any way she can.

I am sure that we will be able to help each other in time to come.
